USA Women’s Softball Coming to Midland

The USA women’s softball team will be making a stop in Midland, TX in their preparations for the 2008 Olympic Games. The game will be on Friday, June 27th at 7:00pm at Citybank Ballpark. Tickets will be $15 or we can purchase thier picnic packs.
Click Here for details on the picnic packs. You will have to add $5 to each option price for the softball game. For example, Option 1 will be $18. Picnic packs include ticket prices.
We must have a group of 20 or more to be eligible for the picnic deals. Also, we all have to choose the same option so I’m thinking option 2 for $20.
If you are interested in making the trip with us, let us know very soon because I want to buy tickets by the end of the week while good seating is still available.

Lady Rabbits Softball earn #17 State Ranking

On Monday, before their game against New Deal, the Lady Rabbits were awarded the #17 spot on the Texas Girls Coaches Association Softball Poll. After their performance against the Lady Lions, the recognition looks to be much deserved. Next up for the Rabbits is @ Seagraves, this Saturday at 1:00.

14U Schedule Updated

I have updated our calendar to reflect the changes made to the 14U schedule. It looks like the schedule was completely redone so you may want to go over it again to look for any games you might not be able to make. Once agian, let your coach know if there is a problem.

SPGF Jerseys are in

We will have our jerseys in time for opening ceremonies. Morry is going to bring them to us tomorrow. If you are at the Rabbit’s softball game on Saturday we can give it to you then, or we can just pass them out prior to the Tech game on Sunday.

Shirt Orders

We have extended the deadline for ordering Rage shirts to Tuesday, April 8. These shirts have the Rage logo on the front and we’ve decided to put the names of girls for all 3 teams on the back. To do this, we have to stay with maroon shirts because the white writing on the backs would not show on gray shirts.
Remember you must get the money to your coach or to Mrs. Sedgwick before she will order shirts.

SPGF Opening Ceremonies

Opening ceremonies will be be held Sunday, April 6th followig the Lady Raiders game against Nebraska at 12:00pm. Players will get in free with their SPGF uniform while parents and siblings will be admitted for just $1. We would like as many girls as possible to attend.

Play will begin on Friday, April 11th. 12U will play at 6:00PM and 10U will have a game at 7:30PM. I will write the schedules into our calendar as soon as I get a chance. In the meantime, here are the links…

SPGF Schedule

The officials over at SPGF say that we will have to play some games on Wednesday this season because of field availability. I will post the schedules as soon as they become available to me. Hopefully this dosen’t happen too often but if you know you absolutely cannot make it on Wednesdays, let your coach know so we can plan ahead and maybe ask players from other teams to fill in.
